What is the Harley Owner's Group®?

The Harley Owner's Group® is a FAMILY-ORIENTED, manufacturer-sponsored, group of motorcycle enthusiasts dedicated to the promotion of the safe enjoyment of this rapidly growing sport. Many Harley-Davidson dealers throughout the world sponsor local chapters of this international organization.

Each chapter operates somewhat autonomously with local rides, activities, social functions and charitable fund raising activities throughout the year. The Springfield Chapter is sponsored by Tibby’s Harley-Davidson. Membership in the Springfield Chapter is open to any current member of the National Harley Owner's Group. Associate memberships are available for family and friends.

Who Are The Members?

Harley Owner's Group members are an eclectic group of enthusiasts from virtually every walk of life including:

Professionals, business executives, publishers/editors, business owners, commercial pilots, helicopter pilots, electricians, plumbers, heavy equipment operators, long-haul truck drivers, carpenters, bankers, union agents, fire fighters, police, school principals, building inspectors, teachers, counselors, retirees, machinists, farmers, restaurateurs, motorcycle training instructors, painters, medical assistants, ambulance attendants, travel agents, and students.

What Do They Do?

Ride their Harley-Davidson® motorcycles as frequently as possible, enjoy many social activities (sometimes to raise money for charity) including: rallies, poker runs, pizza and photo nights, and our annual After-Holiday Party. They also hold monthly meetings to: share experiences with senior riders, learn safe riding techniques, learn technical information regarding Harley-Davidson® motorcycles, meet new friends with a common interest, and become part of a global network of enthusiasts.

When Do They Meet?

The general meeting is the second Thursday of each month. During riding season, the meetings begin at 6pm, followed by a short ride. During Daylight Savings time, meetings start at 7pm. Meetings are held at Tibby’s Harley-Davidson in Springfield.

Why Do They Ride?

Contrary to the adage that "If you have to ask, you wouldn't understand" it is probably better to say "If you haven't experienced the freedom, exhilaration and the pure joy of being at one with a motorcycle on an open road, you have denied yourself one of life's greatest pleasures." It's a lot of fun.

How Do I Join?

You must be a current member of the National Harley Owner's Group®. Pick up a New Members Kit at Tibby’s Harley-Davidson or call (413) 781-0785 for more information.

You say you want to ride, now say you will.
