Director: Dallas Stuck
Most of you know my name, but, I would like introduce myself to you so you can know a bit more about me. My name is Dallas W. Stuck. My nickname is Dal, while some folks call me Big-D. I am married to a wonderful woman. Her name is Deborah (Deb.). We have been married for 40 yrs. We have 3 Great Sons, Ed, Chris & Dan who have given us 4 Beautiful Grandchildren.

I started riding in Gods Country (Central Pa.) when I was in high school. Pennsylvania is where I was born & raised. My first bike was a 125cc Yamaha, but mostly rode my cousins 250 Harley Sprint to be cool. I moved to Massachusetts in 1969 to start my career and family. I was a Sales Manager for 30 years. Raising a family and being on the road all over the country did not lend the time to ride. We found the time to ride again after the kids had grown and started their own families and I reduced my sales roll to work a local territory. Our first bike after all those years was a 2003 Anniversary Edition 1200 Custom. Deb & I rode the 1200 for about a 1-1/2 years, then in 2005 we ordered a new 2006 Heritage Classic. We have been riding the Heritage ever since.

We mostly road alone at the time and is not a lot of fun when you do it continuously. Joining a HOG Chapter appealed to me as I have always been a people person and was looking for some fun folks to ride and socialize with. Seems I’ve found a niche! Becoming an Officer was basically a natural for me because I have been involved in several professional societies over the years where I worked on committees then moved into Officer positions.

Assistant Director: Bob Duffney
My name is Robert J. Duffney, Sr. but everyone calls me Bob (Except for my daughter Terry (LOH). I ride a 2008 Anniversary Edition Ultra Classic Electra Glide. I started riding in 1959 when I bought my first Harley, it was a Sportster with a suicide clutch and left side tank manual shift. It was fun to ride.

I now ride year round in any kind of weather conditions ( except for ice and snow ). I would rather ride my bike than ride in a vehicle, I find it a lot more comfortable as I am 6’ 4” and do not fit behind the wheel of most vehicles anyway.

I joined the chapter in 2006 and have enjoyed the family of Springfield and Berkshire HOG ever since. Most of the time you can find me riding with my daughter, Terry Kane and her husband Pady. They are also chapter members. I have spent more time riding with my daughter from the time she bought her first bike in 2006 than we have spent together most of her life. What a fantastic benefit to riding. Nothing could be more rewarding than spending time with your children. I am a very big on family and doing things with family and have many thousands of photographs to show you if you ask. I have 4 children, Robert Jr., Terry, Lisa and Ann Marie. I have 12 Grandchildren, which I will not name here, but please ask. As a grandfather I love to talk about them.

I have 22 years of military experience in the United States Army, which means I have had the opportunity to ride a few foreign countries like Germany and Vietnam. Join us, you WILL ENJOY OUR COMPANY and have fun in all that we do.

I joined HOG in October ’97 when I purchased my ’98 Dyna from Tibby’s and in 2003 Jeanne purchased our Ultra Classic and we have not looked back. After a couple of year of riding alone and relocating back to Springfield in 2001, I joined the Chapter. At the first meeting there were two tables and we all fit around those two tables. The first ride I went on with the Chapter I planned and led and I have been doing that a lot since then. There is no journey to short or too far! I enjoy the camaraderie of a “Group Ride” but if it is a ride and it is only me and Jeanne that is a group. I have served as Director, Head Road Captain, Activities, and Safety Officer and enjoyed every minute of work for the Chapter. From the beginning it has been nothing but great people, a lot of fun with great memories. Riding has become a valuable part of Jeanne’s and my life and we hope to be able to continue our journeys with the Chapter for many years to come and certainly hope to see some long time Chapter members on a journey, meeting or event in 2010!

Cathy rides a customized 2004 Sportster 1200C. After working at Tibby's she just had to see what riding was all about so she took the MSF course and now loves it. Contact her for Membership info, cards or just to say "Hi". Doing double duty as Editor too, send her articles or tell her about your journeys to share with us all.

I ride an 05 Electra Glide Standard, been riding road bikes since 1982 this is my first Harley. I’ve been in the Air Force since 1982 spent a four years in Utah beautiful riding, then 2+ years in Alaska not much riding but I would like to go back just to ride, beautiful scenery. I left active duty and joined the reserves in 1988 here at Westover ARB. I’ve been fortunate to have traveled all over the world (Europe, the Middle East, and Australia). I have a wife and 2 kids both in college and doing well, I couldn’t be more proud of them. I like golf, and beer but I love riding anywhere anytime, except maybe in the snow. Email: Click to Email
Photographer Bob Lamb
I had been nagging my wife Deb about buying a motorcycle for most of the 25 years we had been married at the time, to no avail. One day she must have been tired of hearing it and she took me to get my permit. A week later, in July 2004, I was at Tibby’s buying my Heritage Softail.

I did not begin attending any HOG meetings or events right away. But when I did, I found the people to be very friendly, welcoming and helpful, and I found the events that they talked about were quite interesting to me. In short time, I was hooked.

I became active in the Chapter, taking part in many rides, rider courses and other events with my wife Deb. What a blast. Deb and I have seen so many things, gone so many places and met so many great people, we could not have imagined otherwise. It really has opened up a whole new chapter in our lives.

I accepted the position of Photographer last year, at the urging of Larry. I enjoy it, always did. Deb and I always take a lot of pictures on our trips so this position is not work for me at all. There are many rides coming up this year, some short, some long. Some we have done before, others are new. If you might be interested in a ride but are unsure, maybe it’s one we have done before. If so, call me, I would be happy to share some of the pictures with you. That way, you can see for yourself whether it is one that you’d like to take part in.

Anyway, I encourage everyone who likes the outdoors to ride. It is truly a liberating and fun pastime. And, you can’t find a better bunch of people to hang out with than your own fellow Springfield HOG members!
