Albert (Tibby) and Jean Thibodeau got their start in 1956 as Indian dealers on White Street in Springfield, moving their young family and business to Berkshire Avenue in 1958. They also carried Matchless and Grieves. While proximity to the factory provided an advantage to the entreprenuers, the fact that Indian was in receivership made prospects for the long-term shaky. In 1962, Harley-Davidson offered them the dealership for Springfield. The couple, now with two young daughters and a son soon to follow, rebuilt the business now known as "Tibby's Harley-Davidson Sales, Inc."
